Kat's Bio

Hey there! My name is Kat King LaPlante. I'm a Louisiana native who grew up in Metairie and Boutte. My family moved to St. Charles Parish is 2005 and I've been here ever since, go Hahnville High! My husband, Will LaPlante, and I have two beautiful boys, Liam 9 and Bennett 5. We also have three fur kids: Mardi an 8-year-old golden retriever, Luna a 4-year-old standard poodle, and Inkey our rescue tuxedo cat. Much like the information on the home page's About Us suggests, I am an animal lover with many years of veterinary experience. Even before I was of working age I spent a lot of my time volunteering for the SCP animal shelter. It was a no-brainer for me when I decided to make a career of it. 

Presently, I'm a part of the Critical Care team at MedVet New Orleans.
